Domaine Jules Desjourneys

Fabien Duperray is first and foremost passionnate about wines, and a wine-tasting regular. His eternal love for burgunian pinot noir and chardonnay led him to meet the great names of Côte d'Or (the likes of Jean-Yves Bizot, Arnaud Ente or Christophe Perrot-Minot). He developped an obsession: to sign his own great botttles, using gamay, since he will settle in Beaujolais in 2007. There, he will take over several crus, and will aim at making his mark: healthy grapes, protected from any chemical intrant, and that will translate into naturally dense wines, broad and boasting great textures. This style, that resembles that of his mentors, is actually quite rare in Beaujolais. His desire to make white wines will lead him to partner with Domaine Thibert (Mâconnais), and propose chardonnays with a purity rarely achieved.
